Well-Child Exams

To help children and teens grow into healthy adults, we recommend well-child exams.
Also called well-care visit or checkups, wellness exams, or annual physicals, these regular medical examinations should start when a child is a few days old and continue until he or she is 20.

Visits include physical measurements, patient history, sensory screenings, behavioral assessments and planned procedures (immunizations, screenings, and other test) at the following intervals:

The #1 choice for developmental screening, the parent-completed ASQ-3 is highly valid and reliable, recommended by top organizations, and based on an unparalleled research sample of more than 15,000 diverse children. ASQ-3’s questions on behavior and communication also help elicit parent concerns that may point to autism.
